Did you know that one of the loudest pieces of sea lies off our coast? During the entire month of May GLUON, in collaboration with De Tijd, will exhibit an outdoor sound installation by Robertina Šebjanič at KAAP (Venetian galleries – Zeedijk Ostend). Slovenian artist Robertina Šebjanič travels around the world to record the noise pollution caused by shipping, fishing, water sports and construction works in our waters.
In this framework GLUON is organizing a sailing trip, in which you will discover what the North Sea sounds like during a sailing trip. Aboard the “Lady Grey” you will literally dive into the underwater world, measure and record underwater pollution off our coast. Equipped with a hydrophone, you will hear the sound underwater and measure how much the human presence disturbs marine life in the North Sea.
