Are you an artist based in Flanders or Brussels working with digital technology? Then register now for this call and you may be able to participate in ITF world, imec’s yearly event on 21 and 22 May in Antwerp.

For the second year in a row, Gluon and imec are inviting three artists to visit the exclusive Imec Technology Forum. During this event, artists can draw inspiration from imec’s research and diverse technologies, after which they can submit a project proposal for Gluon’s upcoming residency programme. Don’t miss your chance!


Who is this call for?


An artist based in Flanders or in Brussels, can apply for this call. Preference will be given to artists working interdisciplinary and/or interested in digital technology.  


What is imec and ITF? 


As a world-renowned research centre, imec believes in the contribution of technology to a better future. Locally, we put that vision into practice by supporting companies and governments in their sustainable innovation.

ITF , is imec’s 2-day flagship event and welcomes 2,000 (inter)national participants. During ITF, you will discover how imec’s expertise is a powerful driver for the digital transformation of our economy and society, more specifically in core sectors such as Connected Energy Systems, Health, Mobility and Robotics & AI.


About ITF


  • will take place on 21 and 22 May 2024 in Antwerp
  • welcomes more than 2,000 participants from around the world ranging from industry experts and business leaders to policymakers, futurists, technology gurus, entrepreneurs from start-ups to scale-ups, analysts and investors
  • includes several inspiring parallel lectures within 4 thematic breakouts: mobility, health, connected energy systems, and robotics & AI
  • during the conference there will be the opportunity to visit the interactive demo floor with numerous ground-breaking interactive technology demos. 

In collaboration with ITF World, imec is also organising ITF Flanders, a special event for Flemish companies and stakeholders on 22 May. 


How to apply & selection process?


You can submit a proposal by 25/04/24 using the online form. An application includes the following information: 

  • CV (pdf, max 100 mb)
  • Motivation (200 characters)
  • Selection of technologies 

Gluon & Imec will make a selection based on the following criteria: 

  • Digital technology expertise & interdisciplinary collaborations
  • Motivation to address societal challenges

The selection will be announced by 01/05/2024. Rejected applications will receive a negative decision.
