- Focus
- Extended Reality (XR) / Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR) / Mixed Reality (MR) / Education
During a talk by Sarah Howard (Guest professor VUB, Educational innovation and technology), we learn more about the transformative power and the vast possibilities of XR in education to enrich classroom lessons and empower young learners!
New technologies and ways of working can help students access new perspectives, ways of working and engagement in learning. In this presentation we will look at extended reality (XR), which includes augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). We will go over some of the basics about these technologies and learning, and we will consider a few case studies. We will then use an augmented reality tool and consider how we might use it in teaching. Benefits and limitations in learning will be discussed.
