Programming Internet of Things

In the city, a birdhouse is a welcome refuge for birds. During this workshop, pupils build their own birdhouse in which they install an Internet of Things system with a motion sensor. This allows them to keep track of how many times a bird flies in and out of the house.

Augmented Reality

How does genetic modification work? And what are the ethical implications? In this workshop, we imagine that we can genetically modify endangered animals to increase their chances of survival. The pupils choose an endangered animal and investigate which factors reduce its chances of survival. They think about what the animal would look like if it were genetically modified and what new characteristics it would have. They draw their super animal and bring it to life in augmented reality.
