For this topic, you can choose from the following technologies:
Virtual reality & Programming
Since when have we been talking to chatbots and how exactly do they work? During this workshop, pupils will be introduced to different types of chatbots and given an insight into how AI technology makes them even more human-like. Then, they will get to work themselves: they will programme their own chatbot to help them make choices. Finally, they will give their bot a creative form in virtual reality.
3D printing
During this workshop, pupils will discover the world of 3D printing, a technology that is increasingly being used in sectors such as construction, art and even medicine. Using a simple tool, they will first make a 3D scan of each other. They will then personalise their own model in TinkerCad by adding their name. After the workshop, GLUON Education prints key rings from the designs and delivers them to the pupils as quickly as possible.
Programming input output
Cyborgs – half human, half robot – are not only found in science fiction, but also exist in real life. Today, it is normal to equip ourselves with all kinds of wearable technologies such as smartphones, smartwatches or wireless earphones. Are we heading towards a future where cyborgs become the norm? After reflecting on this theme, the pupils programme input-output systems that simplify the lives of modern humans.
