Cities face serious environmental problems that affect our quality of life. This workshop focuses on exploring, measuring and visualising environmental pollution in an urban context. In the first part, pupils set up a temperature and humidity sensor themselves using a Raspberry Pi. In the second part, they analyse data collected the previous week via a sensor at school. This exercise teaches pupils to interpret data and think critically about the environment in the school setting.
The sensor is placed at the school a week in advance after consultation with the teacher.
