Gluon presents New Metabolism, a two-day symposium exploring the interactions of humans and machines. Part of the European Digital Deal—a three-year Creative Europe initiative—this event brings together over 15 European cultural organizations and 20 artists to examine how to be human in the ages of machines.
The program features inspiring talks, panel discussions, workshops, and social events, highlighting technologies like AI, machine learning, blockchain, and algorithmic processing.

Opening The Falling City at Gluon (5pm)
The Falling City is a solo exhibition by Noemi Iglesias that critically examines the growing role of AI technology in surveillance and control. In collaboration with Gluon, the League for Human Rights, and the Knowledge Centre for Data & Society, Iglesias developed an artistic AI system that does not enforce control but instead detects affective relationships between people.

Within the context of Art Brussels, Gluon is happy to invite you to the artist talk of David Claerbout talking about his experiences and visions on art and technology with his project the The Wood Carver & The Forest realised during a residency at Gluon within the framework of S+T+ARTS In The City project and with the support of Proximus, The National Lottery, Innoviris and the European Commission
