During the spring holiday in 2016 (6th of February – 13th of February) the first Gluon Winter Lab will start. Makers and thinkers from 15 to 18 years old are invited for a multiday STEAM camp in the heart of Brussels. In collaboration with renowned artists, designers and technologists they seek solutions using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics for the environmental challenges facing Brussels today.
Are you between 15 and 18 years old? Do you like to seek ecological solutions to the challenges of our vibrant metropolis? Do you enjoy experimenting with the latest technologies and want to work towards a better city? Or are you a born activist and want to cooperate with other thinkers and doers in the city of the future?
The eco-squads are waiting for you! During the holidays we pitch our tents in Brussels and cross the city with technologists and scientists. With drones, cameras and sensors we make the invisible visible. Noise pollution, light pollution or the condition of air, light and water: nothing escapes the critical view of the eco-squads.
In small groups, and with the help of a High-Tech Toolbox, you investigate the city, make measurements and images to then upload them to the main camp. In this camp all the gathered information will become visible in a real time interactive digital map. The inhabitants and the policy makers of the city will see where the city is doing well and where it could be better!
Sign up now and take part in the fight for a healthy and sustainable Brussels.
Participation in the lab costs 50 EUR. Candidates can register until February 1st, 2016 via firstname.lastname@example.org. More concrete information will follow immediately after your registration. The number of participants is limited to 25 candidates.
